Kurt E. Williams, Esquire

 

Kurt E. Williams concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law, land use and environmental law and development matters. Prior to joining Salzmann Hughes, P.C., he was a principal in a commercial real estate development firm. Kurt received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Penn State University, and his J.D. degree (cum laude) from the Dickinson School of Law. During law school, Kurt was the recipient of the West Publishing Company Award and was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society. He also received two Corpus Juris Secundum Awards, one for excellence in contracts, and the other for excellence in property law. Also during law school, Kurt served as a legal intern in the office of the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and in the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office. Kurt has also served as a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Andrew Smyser and Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Richard Lewis.

 

Kurt has significant experience in land use, environmental permitting, development and administrative law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the middle district of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court.

 

Kurt is married to Kathryn Reese Williams, Esq. and has four children; Mitchell, Jack, Reese and Christine. He is also an FAA licensed Airline Transport Pilot and Gold Seal Flight Instructor. Kurt's outside interests include aviation, scouting and the outdoors.

Civic Interests

Kurt is a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church in Etters, PA. He is very active in Scouting, having personally achieved both Eagle Scout designation and the Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s national honor society. He presently serves as Committee Member for Cub Scout Pack 198 and Boy Scout Troop 198. In April 2007, Kurt was recognized with the Shield of Service Award by the Keystone Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. In addition, Kurt is a member of the Board of Trustees for the John G. Williams Scholarship Foundation which awards low-interest higher education loans to deserving Pennsylvania students.
